Journal History

The Studies in Medicine and Public Health (SiMPH) was first published in 2025 as an international, peer-reviewed, and open-access scholarly journal with a strong commitment to advancing research and knowledge in medicine and public health. The journal was established in response to the growing demand for a credible academic platform that addresses complex and evolving health challenges through rigorous scientific inquiry and interdisciplinary perspectives.

Since its inception, SiMPH has aimed to provide a reliable forum for researchers, academicians, healthcare professionals, and practitioners to disseminate high-quality and innovative scholarly works. The journal was designed to support evidence-based research that contributes to medical science, public health policy, clinical practice, and population health improvement at local, national, and global levels.

SiMPH adopts a biannual publication schedule, releasing two regular issues each year in June and December, and is published exclusively in English to ensure international accessibility and academic visibility. All manuscripts submitted to the journal undergo a double-blind peer-review process, reflecting the journal’s commitment to objectivity, transparency, and high academic standards.

In its early development phase, SiMPH has emphasized the publication of original research articles, systematic and critical review papers, book reviews, and well-documented case reports that demonstrate methodological rigor, analytical depth, and clear scholarly contributions. The journal continuously strengthens its editorial policies, peer-review mechanisms, and ethical standards to align with internationally recognized best practices in scholarly publishing.

Published by Goodwood Publishing, SiMPH aspires to grow as a reputable international journal that bridges scientific research, clinical application, and public health implementation, while contributing to improved health outcomes and the sustainability of healthcare systems worldwide.
