Journal History
The Universal Teaching and Learning Journal (UTLJ) was first published in 2025 as an international, peer-reviewed, and scientific journal with a dedicated focus on advancing scholarship in education, pedagogy, and teaching–learning practices. The establishment of UTLJ was driven by the growing need for a rigorous academic platform that bridges educational theory and practice while addressing contemporary challenges in diverse educational contexts.
Since its inception, UTLJ has been committed to disseminating high-quality scholarly works that contribute both theoretically and practically to the development of educational science. The journal was designed to accommodate interdisciplinary perspectives and to encourage dialogue among researchers, academicians, educators, and practitioners from various educational backgrounds and regions.
UTLJ adopts a biannual publication schedule, releasing two regular issues each year in March and September, and is published exclusively in English to ensure international accessibility and academic visibility. All manuscripts submitted to the journal undergo a double-blind peer-review process, reflecting UTLJ’s commitment to academic rigor, objectivity, and ethical publishing standards.
In its early development, UTLJ has emphasized the publication of original research articles, systematic and critical review papers, and well-documented case studies that employ robust methodologies and evidence-based approaches. The journal continuously refines its editorial policies, peer-review mechanisms, and publication ethics to align with international best practices in scholarly publishing.
Published by Goodwood Publishing, UTLJ aspires to strengthen its role as a reputable international journal that supports innovation in teaching and learning, promotes inclusive and effective educational practices, and contributes to the improvement of learning outcomes in both formal and non-formal educational settings worldwide.
