Provide a model for establishing a comprehensive knowledge management system in knowledge-based organizations based on success factors

Purpose: This study provides a model for establishing a comprehensive knowledge management system in knowledge-based organizations based on success factors. Research methodology: A researcher-made questionnaire was used to examine these factors and finally to present the model. The statistical population of this study is all managers and employees of knowledge-based organizations. There are 150 of them and 108 people were randomly selected as the research sample. Result: The results of factor analysis showed that all 7 factors under study explain 65.16% of the total variance, which is acceptable. On the other hand, the results of the Friedman test also showed the first to the seventh priority of effective factors of knowledge success in construction projects, including human resource development, knowledge-based orientation, knowledge evaluation and transfer, information systems infrastructure, business culture, modeling. Finally, there was a conflict between people. A model was designed according to the mentioned priority. Limitations: This research only described knowledge-based organizations. Contribution: In this article, using a comprehensive knowledge management system, an attempt is made to provide a mechanism for establishing and implementing a comprehensive knowledge management system in knowledge-based organizations to help it take an important step towards capacity building to create value in processes and exchanges. The knowledge of the experts of the organization should be removed in order to direct the tacit knowledge of the experts, which is the main capital of any organization, towards this important issue.

Strategic human resource management in facilitating the organizational performance: Birds-eye view from Bangladesh

Purpose: This study systematically explores and elaborates on strategic human resources management practices inside a company facilitating the intermediate variables of organization performance. Research methodology: Ten organizations with more or less similar yearly turnover and the same number of permanent employees have been used for this study. The analysis technique in this study uses data analysis developed by Miles et al. (2018) as follows; (a) data collection (b) data display and (c) concluding. Focus group discussions with the employees and management of those companies are being taken with the help of a semi-structured questionnaire. Results: The study's findings offered that the more strategic a company is with its human resource, the more turnover it can make, even if it has a similar number of human resources. Limitations: There are shortcomings in theoretical research on the process of strategic human resource management practices affecting organization performance. Contribution: This study offers a view to integrate and construct strategic human resource management activities affecting organization performance and provides a reasonable explanation and enlightenment for the understanding of further contribution.

Accounting in the fourth industrial revolution: Exploration of digital currency exchanges using AHP method

Purpose: The present study aimed to analyze and select the best exchange in the field of digital currencies with a futuristic perspective. Research methodology: The research method in this article is to use Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) to identify the strengths and weaknesses of each of these exchanges and analyze their coefficients according to the criteria of security, support, commission, number of currency codes, authentication, and trading volume. Results: The most important criteria in choosing the best digital currency exchange are: security, support, commission, number of currency codes, authentication and trading volume. Limitations: The limitations of this research can be the characteristics of digital exchanges in the field of providing digital currency cryptographic services in accordance with the framework of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Contribution: According to the weight of the obtained criteria will be prioritized, which from the results and analysis obtained in this research can be used to invest in the field of currency cryptography and select the top exchange.

Profitability determinants of five-star hotels in Yogyakarta

Purpose: This study aimed to investigate how customers' satisfaction, employee satisfaction, and service quality affect profitability. Research methodology: A total of 450 questionnaires were distributed, 424 were returned and a Partial Least Square (PLS) modeling technique was used to test the hypotheses. Results: The results of this study explain that customers' satisfaction and employee satisfaction play essential roles in enhancing profitability, service quality on customers' satisfaction, and employee satisfaction on customer satisfaction. Finally, there are no essential roles between service quality on profitability. Limitations: This study only used customer satisfaction, service quality, and employee satisfaction as the determinant of profitability. There may be other factors that affect profitability, such as perceived value and customer loyalty, that can be considered to determine which marketing strategy should be used as a practical contribution. Contribution: Therefore, based on the research, hotel management should build a favorable image on a long-term basis using identification and efficient management in terms of promise, positioning, personality, and people. This research implies that the hotel manager should continuously improve service quality and employee satisfaction, thus increasing customers' satisfaction, which will lead to profitability.

Leader versus manager: Lessons from top business executives

Purpose: This article discusses the key differences between leadership and management. It also examines the business organizational executive’s leadership styles of seven selected top executives: Donald Trump, Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, Jeff Bezos, Jack Ma, and Tony Fernandez. Research methodology: The methodological approach of the study focuses on the review of published literature postulating on the differences in the characteristics and functions of leadership and management. Results: Findings from the literature review indicate evidence that shows the differences and similarities between these two concepts of leaders and managers or leadership and management. The study also reveals that these top business executives demonstrated the contemporary leadership paradigms of transformational, charismatic, and servant leadership. Limitations: One limitation is the review approach of the paper. The other is the analysis of leadership styles based on those top executives from the business sector. Contributions: The article provides insights into the understanding of the evolvement of organizational management and the preferred leadership styles of top business executives. The findings on the leadership styles of the top business leaders add to the significance of the study.
